Someone Knows and Cares

How would it feel to know that Someone knows what you are going through, cares, is watching out for you, and is working on your behalf?  Encouraged? Hopeful? Relieved?

Yeah, me too.

This week held several unpleasant challenges for me. Maybe you or someone you know have gone through some challenges too. I hung my head; my heart was heavy. Then I read Therese Marszalek’s devotional for Day 23 in her book, 40 Days—Inspiration & Encouragement to Get You Through Tough Times. It deals with childlike faith—identifying a time I (or someone I knew) experienced it; what does “childlike faith” mean to me; and why I believe the Father wants me to have childlike faith.

The Lord reminded me of a time as a grown up that I’d lost a furry hat. (I really liked that hat.) Since material things were limited, it wasn’t something I could replace. I asked Jesus to tell me where it was. Then I waited (quietly) and listened (expectantly).

Isn’t that what we do as children? We trust that the one who loves us will somehow make everything all right?

Jesus did. He placed in my mind the location of the hat. It couldn’t be seen, but it was there.

I remembered how that felt. I knew that that is how God wants me to face every challenge—believing He knows, cares, is watching out for me, and is working on my behalf.

The following are the Biblical promises He gave me to speak out loud daily. God’s Word says it. I believe it. That settles it.

May God bless your socks off today as you speak them out loud and believe them too.

Encouragement
